Mary’s cat has been missing for a week, and she’s not coping. So when a socially awkward stranger arrives at her door with a bin bag - things quickly spiral. This dark two-hander comedy unfolds over one increasingly unhinged encounter, where politeness clashes with panic, and social niceties are pushed to their limits. As Mary and Max navigate guilt, lies, denial and the absurdity of the situation, the play asks: why do we cling to civility, even when everything is falling apart?
