“The Death of Hundun” is a solo performance inspired by a parable by the ancient Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi, in which Hundun—an undivided whole, without orifices, embodying a wisdom beyond ordinary understanding—dies after seven apertures are forcibly carved into his body. This production reimagines the myth as a contemporary psychological allegory: a person who has “seen through everything” is driven to the brink as her inner world collapses into disillusionment. The story follows a woman living with depression, trapped in a reality defined by pain. Refusing to surrender, she hurls herself toward one promise after another—love, career, family, freedom, faith, and ultimately reason—believing each might offer salvation. Yet every hope is raised only to be shattered, leaving her face to face with the limits of endurance and the nearness of death. Blending a text-rich, emotionally charged monologue with highly physical performance, the piece delivers a visceral theatrical experience. It asks: when all systems of meaning fail, can one still go on living? And if suffering offers no resolution, might we learn to make space for what resists explanation?

Underpinning a tale of failing in the visual arts - from growing up with an Artist parent to undertaking an Art History degree, overcoming teenage image issues and stagnating in a social media career - comes a deeper discussion around the ways we depict ourselves in misguided quests for closeness. Making a case for unfiltered oversharing as opposed to curating a flawless persona, seeking connection over 'engagement' and ditching 'likes' for love, this hour of honest confession abandons attempts to paint a perfect picture in favour of telling a true story.

Hathaleen: The Unexpected Journey to Palestine

A satirical black comedy drama about a British Zionist who unexpectedly travels to Palestine to prove to his ex-girlfriend that he isn't a Zionist, the reason for their breakup. This play is based on true events about the increasing settler violence that is occurring in the West Bank. It is inspired by the writer and director's own experiences in Palestine in the summer of 2025. The play was developed through the Bread and Roses Writer's Programme and is having its premiere at the Camden Fringe Festival. The play is pushing to challenge the lack of Muslim actors in British theatre and the representation of Islam on stage. The play hopes to raise awareness and understanding about the religion to promote unification around the world and within England. The writer/director Louis Linsey is raising money to send via the Center for Jewish Nonviolence (CJNV) to support the community of Umm Al-Khair in Masafer Yatta in memory of Awdah Hathaleen who was murdered by the Israeli settler Yinon Levi on 28th July 2025. Parts of the play are based on accounts from friends of Louis' who were there during the atrocity. All donations to the charity are very welcome - there will be a collection at the end of the show.

Holloway, who won the Durham University Best Writing award in 2025 following its initial run, now brings the show to London with a updated script and cast!

Two women meet by chance and fall deeply in love. There is only one problem: an ocean between them. Call Me When You Get This explores what it means to build a relationship when every moment together is borrowed time. Tender, funny and quietly devastating, Call Me When You Get This follows a South African woman and a British woman whose relationship unfolds across countries, cultures and time zones. Told through a non-linear structure, the play pieces together moments from across the lifespan of their relationship. Rather than following a traditional chronology, the audience encounters a mosaic of memories: first meetings, final conversations, ordinary moments and life-changing decisions. As the clock begins counting down from the moment each visit starts, the play asks a simple but impossible question: How do you build a future with someone you always leave behind?

Throughout one continuous, bizarre family dinner, deranged by impossible possession and snapping attempts at breaking down the fabulous limits of human connection, A Goldenberry Cage crafts a ludicrous parallel between cannibalism and the vernacular. Described by its director as a "weird collective hallucination", the show keeps Foul Young Theatre's byword of "violently social loud and sexy theatre" with its libertine style and preposterous characters, delving into blame games and compensation, familial horror and satire, all around a table.

After getting stuck in a supermarket freezer during a pitiful attempt to steal ice-cream, a nameless woman is forced to come to terms with the disappointments, losses, dreams and hopes of her lacklustre existence. Quite quickly, it emerges that this woman is a walking failure; little desire, no ambition, a life of missed opportunity. Through anecdotes, poetry, dark comedy, and a complicated relationship with a freezer-wall, the complexities of a twenty-first century existence crash-down in haunting waves of grief and fantasy. ‘This Could’ve Gone Better’ is a 6o-minute, dark-comedy monologue that explores the seemingly fleeting moments of a young woman’s life. What is it like to be promised the world and receive nothing? What is it like to dream only to wake up? How do you mourn a life dying right in front of your eyes? Join the young woman as she barely-copes, complains, and deludes herself from reality at a time when hiding from the truth could be devastating.

From growing up in Libya to navigating Europe, from second-cheapest wine to identity politics, from body shame to social hypocrisy, this is comedy about belonging, status, desire, resentment and trying to seem like a decent person while quietly losing your mind.
