Big Girl Words

This comedy-drama follows Ama, a vibrant writer-performer auditioning for a new theatre programme celebrating Black artists. As Ama passionately pitches her kaleidoscope world of characters, she becomes entangled in a web of micro-aggressions, familial pressures and the dilemma of values versus compromises. Blending humorous and tender moments, ‘Big Girl Words’ asks the audience to reflect on intersectionality, womanhood and creative identity. Written & performed by Winnie Arhin
