Lost, Found & Completely Confused Sets Sail for Camden Fringe This Summer Get ready for a voyage packed with laughter, chaos and comic misunderstandings as Lost, Found & Completely Confused arrives at the Camden Fringe this summer. Created by LEH Drama students through our The Girl Writes initiative, the production is written, directed and performed totally by the students, showcasing the next generation of female playwrights and performers. The Girl Writes initiative is dedicated to nurturing young female voices in theatre, providing emerging writers with the opportunity to develop original stories that could go on to become future Write the Girl productions. Lost, Found & Completely Confused is the latest example of this exciting creative platform, offering audiences a fresh and entertaining new comedy. Set entirely within the bustling Lost & Found department of a luxury cruise ship, the play follows a stream of increasingly frantic and eccentric passengers searching for their missing belongings. What begins as a routine day quickly descends into mayhem as misplaced luggage, mysterious objects and even a missing engagement ring spark a chain of misunderstandings and mistaken identities. As each new passenger arrives with their own unique problem, the confusion escalates, creating a whirlwind of comic chaos. Packed with colourful characters, witty dialogue and unexpected twists, the production delivers a fast-paced farce that keeps audiences guessing and laughing. With its blend of sharp humour, energetic performances and imaginative storytelling, Lost, Found & Completely Confused promises to be a highlight of this year’s Camden Fringe. Between cold, dark winter days and sweet, bright summer times, Birgitta and Bror battle to forge their own identities. A new, one-act, coming-of-age play, Gammelstad explores the power of chosen family and celebrates the unique strength of sibling bonds.

This is our Canadian-Finnish troupe´s third visit to the Camden Fringe and hopefully will be as well received as in 2014 and 2024! We have also performed drama based on current issues in Toronto, Winnipeg, Brighton and Helsinki. The play is by A.I. Tolvanen, author and journalist who has worked many years in Finland and Canada including Tomson-Reuters, Time and The Finnish News Bureau. The Swan, the Werewolf and Gianpiero

A backstage breakup between tango partners spirals into total chaos when Roxana ends her relationship with Mateo five minutes before their performance. Their argument erupts onto the stage, where Gianpiero, an eccentric “artistic genius” of a director (and allegedly a descendant of Julius Caesar), decides to transform the disaster into his greatest masterpiece. He casts Mateo as a werewolf, Roxana as a swan, and begins manipulating them in front of a live audience. What follows is a gloriously unhinged collision of Argentine tango, carefully crafted conspiracies and pure theatrical madness, led by a director who bows while the actors call an ambulance. Multi-roling actors brilliantly shapeshift around Leta and Tess, sometimes stealing each others’ roles if they feel like it, as we hurtle from crime scene to morgue to restaurant to airport and more. Melding the writer’s favourite styles, from film noir, action comedy, slapstick, meta theatre, thrillers and improv, you’ll need to keep up! Though stay vigilant - you don’t want to stray too far into the story in case you can’t find your way out either...

Close Friends is a timely new PowerPoint show exploring intimacy, honesty and authenticity in the age of social media. Based on a decade of Instagram Story archives, this fun and thought-provoking piece of storytelling seeks to explore topical questions around the ways we're trained to present ourselves and how we all #relate. Underpinning a tale of failing in the visual arts - from growing up with an Artist parent to undertaking an Art History degree, overcoming teenage image issues and stagnating in a social media career - comes a deeper discussion around the ways we depict ourselves in misguided quests for closeness. Making a case for unfiltered oversharing as opposed to curating a flawless persona, seeking connection over 'engagement' and ditching 'likes' for love, this hour of honest confession abandons attempts to paint a perfect picture in favour of telling a true story.

The Right To Disappear

A mother and daughter attempt to resolve their issues in a mediation session. Grace, the face of her mother Amanda’s family vlogging channel, wishes for her privacy back, but Amanda is reluctant to lose everything she has managed to build on social media, even if that risks her relationship with her daughter. Grace must force Amanda to see the exploitative nature of posting her online, in the hope that she will learn from past mistakes. Grace wants nothing more but her privacy - something she has always been denied. But with no legislation to protect these children, will she be willing to use her voice and therefore forgo her own right to disappear? A thought provoking play that delves into the murky world of family vlogging channels, a phenomenon that has largely passed under the radar until now. Children featured on these channels are often subject to constant filming within the home, have little privacy and cannot consent knowingly to being posted on the internet. There is an absence of legislation to protect the children of family vloggers in the UK, and a lack of attention to this topic in creative media. We hope our play can push this topic into the spotlight and spark conversation around the morality of the practice.

It follows a wildly successful writer whose debut film has shaken the world to their core. But now, she battles the demands of a life in the public eye. Facing constant cameras, and unwarranted opinions, she begins to succumb to the stress of a life that is painted on a billboard. To add to this, she faces the expectations of an unruly and demanding agent fighting to keep his career afloat, and a sister who idolises her, but wants nothing but the best for her. This concoction of pressure, stalking, and emotional imbalance gives way to some familiar faces, and the deadly secret that they bring with them. But what happens when the writer can no longer separate this horror from reality? What happens when this secret becomes an intrusive actuality? ‘A Death In Drafts’ tackles ideas plaguing many young people today, such as how much of our lives are watched and criticised and stalked through the internet. It exposes the harsh reality behind constant stimulation, and a complete lack of privacy. And it begs the question: can we escape this man-made hell, or are we doomed to watch our own suffering on the big screen?
