In this silly but spiky one-person show, Renée gives the pulpit to heathens, heretics, and off-brand saints. Sneaking deep questions into deeply ridiculous comedy sketches, Renée playfully lobs bombs at organised religion and ultimately celebrates the innate holiness of being human. Come for a mad dash of daft scenarios: A rejected saint takes her gripes to an appeals board. Mary blows up her baby shower. Sheep fight typecasting at auditions for The Nativity. God’s publisher gives constructive criticism. And Jesus’ mom just wants one photo of Him looking nice. With profoundly stupid situations and razor-sharp characters, Renée makes you laugh but also, somehow, poses a Big Question: What miracles might humans achieve if we stopped waiting on God and embraced our own wonky divinity?
